Installations

With a diverse background in architecture, product design and fabrication our focus is to create installations that engage viewers beyond the “instagrammable” moment. Our curiosities in lighting design, digital-new media and common everyday materials bring thought-provoking experiences that turn things on their head.

  • Blending digital elements and immersive experiences is why the Lab brings multidisciplinary collaborators under a single roof.

  • Many of the Lab's experiments and creative explorations focus on using light as an artistic medium to enhance experiences.

  • The Lab is always looking beyond the obvious with a philosophy of creating artwork from various available materials, objects, and upcycled things.

Past Work

  • Hinterland

Created while at Acrylicize for LinkedIn.

This three story installation moved from reception up to the top floor weaving in and out of the open stairwell. Materiality leads to way to showcase connection and the process through ones professional career. Inspired by vehicle for connection the piece sought to showcase the past as the original building was the hub of transit.

  • Golden Hour

Public Art Installation - Seattle, Washington

GoldenHour is a sight-specific light installation encircling Seattle’s Downtown Park’s boat pond. By using a series of warm monochromatic lamps we sought to re-imagine how existing public architecture can serve as an armature for pedestrian gathering and individual reflection through the introduction of light. The piece uses lighting technology to slowly grow as the natural light dims.

  • Soundwave

Created while at Electric Coffin for Meta

This piece was highlighting the mentality of employees and the brand behind Meta. The phrase “Live Like The Futures On Fire” was spoken into and visual audio generator and the result was then turned into a bricolage installation. Custom spires specific heights form a sculpture that showcases Meta Open Arts values told through a mythical story.
