Walls

The lab specializes in murals that are not limited to just paint on walls. We question what a mural can be, and, depending on its context, how it can transform a space with imagery and color. From CNC cut shapes to wheatpaste installation, the lab delivers new ways to present 2d imagery that bring walls and spaces to life.

  • Murals are created by combining several mediums. Often these include acrylic, wheatpaste, or found objects in order to tell the story.

  • Murals using a number of painted application styles.

  • Created to be half installation half mural. Usually, these murals are wall-hung or combine 2D/3D layers.

Past Work

  • Sound Canopy

Created while at Acrylicize for Spotify

An above-ground mural was created in Miami for a tech client to highlight Latin American roots. The concept is “Sound Canopy” and speaks to how sound and music transcend borders. Upon scanning a QR code with your phone an AR experience animates the design.

  • Prism Trees

    Created for Tom Douglas

The mural design sought to reinvigorate an old worn down building while highlighting its mid-century architecture. The design was inspired by minimalist color field paintings and nature from the PNW to form an abstract tree canopy.

  • Rocket Man

    Created while at Electric Coffin

Our client came to us with one goal. Intriguing pedestrians as they pass by the bustling street. The piece was inspired by the playful nature of the Oasis Bubble Tea brand. “Rocketman” explodes out of the space.
